OUR LEGACY
The Artists. The Records. The History We Made Together
WCB Wasafi’s history lives in the music: the breakthrough singles, the unforgettable collaborations and the voices that became part of people’s everyday lives. Every artist who has been part of the label has contributed something distinct to that story.
Founded by Diamond Platnumz, WCB Wasafi brought together artists with different backgrounds, ambitions and musical identities. Through artist development, recording, visual storytelling and performance, those partnerships helped carry Tanzanian music to new audiences while keeping Swahili language and culture at its heart.
Harmonize, Rayvanny, Mbosso, Rich Mavoko and Lava Lava each hold an important place in that journey. This archive celebrates their time with WCB Wasafi, the work we created together and the contributions that remain part of our shared history.

FORMER ARTISTS
Recognising the artists who helped build WCB Wasafi’s catalogue during their time with the label.
HARMONIZE
Harmonize helped give WCB Wasafi’s early years a distinctive sound. His melodic delivery and ability to turn personal emotion into accessible songs made him an important part of the label’s emerging identity.
RAYVANNY
Rayvanny brought an adventurous musical spirit to WCB Wasafi. From the arrival of “Kwetu,” his expressive vocals and instinct for memorable melodies established an identity that could move comfortably between heartfelt songs and high-energy dance records.
MBOSSO
Mbosso brought intimacy and emotional depth to WCB Wasafi’s catalogue. Having already built experience with Yamoto Band, his move into a solo career gave audiences the opportunity to connect more closely with his individual voice and songwriting.
RICH MAVOKO
Rich Mavoko joined WCB Wasafi with an artistic identity and audience already of his own. His arrival brought an experienced singer and songwriter into the roster, adding another dimension to the label’s growing musical character.
Lava Lava
Lava Lava’s introduction through “Tuachane” opened a chapter built on expressive vocals and relatable storytelling. His music brought warmth and personality to the Wasafi roster, drawing on the language and emotions of everyday relationships.
Artists grow, ambitions evolve and careers enter new chapters. The music created together continues to connect us.
We honour these artists for their individuality, their contributions and the moments we shared. We also recognise the producers, songwriters, directors, dancers, musicians and teams whose work helped bring each era to life—and the fans who gave that music a place in their lives.
These chapters belong in the story of WCB Wasafi. This is where we celebrate them.
