D Voice, born Abdul Hamisi Mtambo on 10 October 2004, is a Tanzanian singer and performer signed to WCB Wasafi. Raised on Bandari Street in Kilimahewa, Temeke, Dar es Salaam, he brings a distinctive melodic voice to music rooted in the energy and everyday experiences of Tanzania’s urban communities.

His musical foundation is Singeli, a sound whose fast rhythms, direct language and connection to the community remain central to his identity. For D Voice, its appeal lies in its immediacy: music that people can understand, feel and enjoy. His approach pairs that energy with expressive singing, giving his songs room for tenderness as well as movement.

Growing up in a low-income household is an important part of his story. D Voice credits his religious faith with helping him remain grounded, respectful and gentle in his interactions with others. Those values sit alongside his ambition as an artist, shaping the person behind the voice as he continues to build his career.

Although Singeli is his starting point, his musical range extends into Bongo Flava, Afropop and Zouk. He moves between rhythmic, dance-driven songs and more melodic material, bringing a recognizable vocal character to each. That versatility allows him to explore different sounds while maintaining a strong connection to his Tanzanian roots.

His album Swahili Kid showcases his musical range through collaborations with Zuchu, Diamond Platnumz, Mbosso and Lava Lava. Songs such as “BamBam” featuring Zuchu, “Tunapenda” featuring Mbosso, “Iyo” featuring Diamond Platnumz and “Baridi” with Zuchu highlight his melodic versatility and connection to contemporary East African music.

At WCB Wasafi, D Voice represents a generation of talent bringing Tanzania’s street sounds to wider audiences. His direction is clear: to grow beyond genre boundaries while preserving the voice, values and sense of place that make his music his own.
